Burnley forgets to take chances and draws against Wolves | Premier League

--

A must-win ended in a draw. 1-1. Burnley finally forgot to connect with the teams above them in the standings against Wolves. Kompany and co still have seven games to avoid relegation.

In the Premier League it remains as exciting at the bottom as it is at the top. With seven games to go, Vincent Kompany’s Burnley still has some hope of salvation. Burnley has now been undefeated for four matches in a row.

However, The Clarets do not make much progress with a draw against Wolves. Burnley took the lead through Bruun Larsen (ex-Anderlecht), but conceded an uppercut just before the break – Ait-Nouri’s equalizer. Again in a standard situation, one of Burnley’s sore points. In the second half, Kompany’s men encountered Wolves goalkeeper Sa a number of times. The quality in the zone of truth was lacking.

Kompany was in the dugout on Tuesday despite a red card against Chelsea. He won’t serve his suspension day until next weekend.

Of his Belgians, only Benson got minutes. Delcroix remained on the bench. Trésor and Al-Dakhil were not in the core.

Burnley remains nineteenth. The number 17, Nottingham Forest, did win (3-1 against Fulham).
