To get the most out of it at the highest level, Anderlecht and Club Brugge also enter into collaborations in the lower series. Sometimes they are competitors in that area too.

KSV Oudenaarde, number 8 from the Second Division A, released some striking news on its website. “Before the start of the last home match, it was announced that Club NXT will be entering into a partnership with KSVO for the next 3 years,” can be read in a news item on the site of the East Flemish amateur club.

Remarkable, because it already had a collaboration with RSC Anderlecht. Club may even have come to recognize the potential of a partnership with Oudenaarde. In any case, the collaboration between Oudenaarde and Anderlecht is now coming to an end. From now on, Oudenaarde will look a little closer to home.

So in a way it does make sense and there may be a lot of movement in the collaborations between professional clubs and amateur clubs. Yet it is remarkable to first join forces with Anderlecht and then with Club Brugge. The RSCA first team played its first friendly match in Oudenaarde at the beginning of the season.

Perhaps Anderlecht is not sad that they are parting ways. During that same match (0-5), damage was caused to the Anderlecht team bus. Scratches were made on the bus with a key, and the perpetrators were subsequently caught.
