After a rollercoaster of a season, KVO has enforced the sporting retention. The problem is that it does not yet have a license and therefore there is no party on the coast yet.

Getting the license file in order will be a big enough challenge for KV Oostende. Now another problem has arisen. With a victory against SL 16 on the final day, KVO was able to save itself and referred Seraing to the amateur series. However, the last word has not yet been said: Seraing is fighting the relegation.

The people of Liège do this in front of the green table. An administrative error was allegedly made by KVO in both a mutual match and in a match against Patro Eisden. If that were indeed the case, the West Flemish people risk losing the points achieved in those matches. And then Seraing would be fine.

Things won’t go that smoothly, Ostend is sure. Communication on social media is significant. “KV Oostende is aware of a complaint from Seraing regarding an ineligible player. However, it concerns a computer error in the KBVB software,” said the KVO account on X.

“The player was indeed on the Squad List, this has now also been confirmed.” This therefore seems to be a problem that will not cost KV Oostende their retention in the Challenger Pro League. Now we have to work on that license.
