Police and justice in Spain must once again look for a Dutch leader of the mocromafia, Amsterdammer Karim B., alias Taxi. The man is known as the arch-enemy of drug lord Ridouan Taghi. Karim was arrested in Marbella in January this year, but was quickly released on bail. B. did not comply with a reporting obligation for long and has now disappeared, Spanish media reported on Tuesday.

The Guardia Civil police service confirms to De Telegraaf that it no longer has Karim B. on its radar. The Dutchman is suspected of drug trafficking and money laundering in Spain. The Netherlands also wants to get hold of Karim B. and requested his extradition in January. The Spanish judge rejected this request, because B. first had to appear in court in Spain.

Spanish media are furious about the disappearance of Karim B., who may have emigrated to Morocco. It is relatively easy to get to Morocco from southern Spain with a fast boat. B. is considered an arch enemy of Ridouan Taghi and was warned several times by the judiciary that he is on a death list. Intercepted PGP messages showed that Karim B. had to be murdered by his opponents in Dubai by ‘ninjas’ armed with knives. The attack failed.

Large cocaine network

Crime reporter John van den Heuvel bumped into Karim B. last month in Marbella during recordings for the series The Hunt for the Mocromafia. B. was still staying in a well-secured compound at the time and complied with his reporting obligation during that period. Apparently it became too hot for him in Spain after that and he decided to flee. Where exactly he is staying is unknown.

Karim B. is considered a leader of a large cocaine network, which was co-led by his brother Samir B., alias Scarface, who was liquidated in 2014. According to prosecutors, the murder was the work of the crime organization of Ridouan Taghi and Rico R., alias the Chilean. Samir B. was lured to a terrace in southern Spain and mowed down there. Afterwards there were attacks on alleged gang members of his such as Lucas Boom, Hans Nijman and Peter R., alias Pjotr.
