Extra prizes to be earned during the tenth edition of Mortsel Loopt (Mortsel)

Pre-registrations have closed, but participants can still register to run during Mortsel Loopt on Friday. It promises to be worth it because the tenth edition is good for some additional prizes.

The first starting shot will be given on Friday at 6 p.m. at the Fort 4 shelter. But anyone who still needs to register is welcome from 5 p.m. The first jogs, from 320 meters to two kilometers, are for toddlers, children and G-athletes. They remain on the fort grounds with their course.

Participants in the five and ten kilometers may go to the starting zone at 7:30 PM. In addition to the historic and green Fort 4, they will dive even more into nature. On the way they pass through the Little Switzerland nature reserve. Depending on the chosen distance, the loop is walked once or twice. The ten kilometer athletes will have water supplies along the way.

Preschoolers, children and G-athletes pay 1 euro for their participation on the day itself. The two longer distances can be covered for 3 euros.

Prices

Because the event is celebrating an anniversary, additional prizes are provided. Every participant can expect a commemorative medal. The first ten toddlers in each series can look forward to a surprise gift.

Furthermore, the tenth runner in each category will receive an extra gift upon arrival. The same goes for the different winners of each series. Special surprises await them. Later, the association or school with the most participants will also be honored.

After the run, changing rooms are available in the main front building. There is no continuous surveillance to ensure that personal items are left behind. This is possible in the shelter’s guarded cloakroom. (fisp)
