Emilio Garcia filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday. The man said he worked for the musician from 2018 to June 2023 as a personal cameraman. According to the man, Thee Stallion had sex with a woman during a trip to Ibiza in June 2022 while they were sitting together in a moving car after a party. “I felt uncomfortable,” Garcia added NBC. “I was frozen, I was shocked. That she actually just had the guts to do this next to me.”

The next day, the rap star allegedly asked Garcia if he was in the car with them the night before. When he confirmed this, the woman allegedly told him that he should “never discuss what he saw,” the complaint states.

In the days that followed, Thee Stallion also allegedly created a particularly hostile work environment for Garcia. “It was a barrage of relentless sexual and derogatory comments about his body weight, which left him in deep emotional distress,” it said. “She called me fat bitch, and told me to spit out my food. Because a proponent of body positivity said these things, I felt humiliated,” said the cameraman.

“Hostile, violent work environment”

Garcia was also said to have been treated with hostility in the following months. He was no longer paid a fixed amount, but had to submit invoices for each assignment as a freelancer. He would also have been paid much less for the same work, and subsequently hired less and less. “The harassment was so severe and pervasive that it created a hostile, violent work environment that made my working conditions intolerable,” the complaint reads.

Garcia said he suffered “loss of income, physical injury, illness and emotional distress” as a result of the alleged treatment. The man continues to struggle with increasing anxiety, depression, and physical problems as a result of the toxic work environment, it said.

Million dollar damages

Garcia is therefore seeking damages of “more than six figures,” which amounts to at least a million dollars. “Megan should simply pay our client what he is owed, acknowledge her behavior, and stop this type of sexual harassment and fat shamingconduct,” said attorney Ron Zambrano. “Emilio should never have been in the car with her while she had sex with another woman. ‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly. Exposing employees to this behavior is downright illegal.”

Megan Thee Stallion denies the allegations. “This is an employment action for money – with no sexual harassment case filed, and with salacious allegations to try to embarrass her,” her attorney Alex Spiro told Page Six. “We will deal with this in court.”
