The Iris festivals attracted quite a crowd this weekend. On Saturday, interested parties could take a guided tour in the municipalities of Schaerbeek, Evere and Sint-Joost-ten-Noode from 11 am. In Schaarbeek, for example, the town hall could be visited, but also the Autrique House and La Maison des Arts (and the exhibition ‘Time after time’), while in Evere Brussels residents and visitors could visit the renovated Pieter Cnops Museum or take a walk. in the Moeraske and examine the history of the Evere Mill. Those who wanted to get to know Sint-Joost-ten-Noode better could visit the Charlier Museum or the library, where two exhibitions were organized.

After the Iris festival in the municipalities, the day ended with the Iris Tipik Electro Night, with Ofenbach, TRINIX, Alex Germys, Emjie and Raql on the bill. “About 9,000 people attended, which, given the changeable weather, is a good number,” says Noémie Wibail of visit.brussels, the promotion and communications agency of the Brussels Capital Region. “Despite the changeable weather, the public attended the meeting.”

Many activities were organized in the Warande Park on Sunday, with seven theme villages with activities for the family. Visitors could enjoy music, including Zizanie, HH Producties, Cirque plein d’air, Sokar or Ganesha Events, or wall or tree climbing.

“Today we had around 80,000 visitors,” the visit.brussels spokesperson continues. “There were people in the park all day long, and we saw many families with children. Overall we may have had a slightly smaller audience than last year, due to the weather, but we can still call it a great success.”
