The meeting took place behind closed doors, but media such as NBC News and The Washington Post obtained an audio recording. It can be heard that Trump is lashing out at the prosecutors who are prosecuting him in various cases. For example, he calls federal prosecutor Jack Smith “deranged,” “evil” and a “real bastard.” He mockingly describes Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis as “Ms. Wade,” a reference to prosecutor Nathan Wade, with whom she had a contentious relationship.
