It won’t be long before we learn all about this year’s new Call of Duty. For example, it is expected that the game will be shown in an upcoming Xbox showcase. But the reveal is probably earlier, as appears again after a datamine (via Insider Gaming).
Although there will probably be a lot of attention for Call of Duty during the Xbox Showcase in June, the first reveal is expected a little earlier. That has been a rumor before, but it seems even more likely after an update to Call of Duty Warzone. It refers several times to something that bears the code name Cerberus.
It is likely that that is the internal name of Call of Duty 2024. The fact that references to the game have been added with the new Warzone update could mean that the game will be revealed this month.
Previously, Call of Duty reveals were even in-game events in Warzone. It is not clear whether this will also be the case this year, but there are reports that the reveal will be more traditional this time. Of course, this does not rule out the possibility that there will be special rewards in Warzone around the reveal.
One such reward seems to have already been discovered in the datamine, namely a blueprint for a weapon. The name Sally is carved on it with six peats next to it, which could indicate that the game is called Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The name Black Ops Gulf War previously leaked.
