London

A number of horses have run amok in central London. Four people were injured. In the meantime, all the horses have been captured again.

Footage shows two horses walking down a street in London. They are both saddled, one of the two is bloodied. That horse would have collided with a car.

It soon became clear that five cavalry horses had escaped during an exercise on the Horse Guards Parade in Westminster, near Buckingham Palace. They were frightened and had thrown four soldiers from the saddle. Then they walked the streets of London. One of the horses ran into a parked double-decker bus and shattered the windshield. The ambulance service had to care for people at three locations: at Buckingham Palace, Belgrave Square and at the junction between Chancery Lane and Fleet Street. At least four people were injured.

The police tried to locate the horses together with the army. In the meantime, they have all been brought back to their stable. “A number of military horses escaped this morning during a routine exercise,” the army said. “All horses have been recovered and returned to camp. A number of employees and horses were injured and they are being treated.”
