Hundreds of people who went to a spring festival in Stuttgart last weekend developed stomach and intestinal complaints. According to local media, the municipality of Stuttgart speaks of a huge outbreak, with at least three hundred people with complaints.
The complaints probably come from a viral infection in a party tent. As far as we know, all the people who became ill visited the same party tent.
An investigation has been started into the virus and into the hygiene and conditions in the tent and on the party site. The authorities in Stuttgart are also calling on people who have become ill after attending the party in Stuttgart to report.
The spring festival in Stuttgart started last Saturday and will last more than three weeks. More than a million visitors are expected.
