Max Verstappen will start the sixth race of the season from pole position on Sunday. The F1 Grand Prix of Miami 2024 starts at 10:00 PM Dutch time and can be seen on F1 TV and Viaplay.
Verstappen started the weekend in Miami as the big favourite, with five pole positions after five race weekends and four victories after five races. During the first training in Miami he also finished P1, but McLaren, among others, looked strong. However, during qualifying for the sprint race, Verstappen was more than 0.1 second faster than the competition, meaning he ended the first day with a good feeling.

Verstappen dominates on Saturday
On Saturday there was no limit to Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. The Dutchman started the sprint race from P1 and never really saw this first place in danger. Charles Leclerc came second, Sergio Pérez third. Daniel Ricciardo was able to hold off Carlos Sainz and Oscar Piastri for P4. Then no one could stop Verstappen during qualifying for the Grand Prix. The Dutchman took pole for the sixth time in 2024 and the seventh time in a row.

What time does the race start in Miami?
This Saturday, Verstappen will start the race from P1, with Leclerc next to him, just like during the sprint race. Sainz and Pérez form the second row, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri providing a full third row for McLaren. The fourth row consists entirely of Mercedes: George Russell P7, Lewis Hamilton P8. The Miami Grand Prix starts on Sunday at 10:00 PM Dutch time and will be over around 11:30 PM.
