After “Thinking of Holland” and the international “Thinking of Switzerland”, there was supposed to be a Spanish “Thinking of Mallorca”, but that Spanish party is canceled. It is the choice of 77-year-old André van Duin not to participate in a Spanish version of the Omroep Max success story. And without André no program is possible.

Undoubtedly it would have been a success, because Mallorca is very popular with the Dutch. But for André van Duin, “Thinking of Mallorca” would be too much television. The 77-year-old presenter, who has been in the business for 60 years, will again record a new “Thinking of Holland” together with Janny van der Heijden in 2024, there will be an anniversary concert and a new season of “Heel Holland Bakt”.

For readers who are not familiar with the programs, in “Thinking of Holland” Janny and André travel by boat through the Netherlands and visit villages, cities and companies. In the spy-off “Thinking of Switzerland”, the pair, together with their dog Nhaan, traveled through Switzerland by train. In January 2022, the pair also did a one-off “Thinking of the Eleven Cities Tour”.

“Thinking of Mallorca” should be a second spin-off of the Dutch program, but for André van Duin that is too much traveling and too much television. Not good news for the fans of the two presenters, Spain and Mallorca.
