Antwerp

Every weekday our reporter and photographer pick a random passerby from the street for a nice conversation. Because everyone has a story. And certainly in Antwerp. Today: Charlotte Lenaerts (29).

“My hometown is Aarschot, but I have lived in Antwerp for a long time. After my studies I stayed here. I will soon be moving to Ghent. I feel like I will be more connected to nature there in the city, and less rushed. I am trained as a orthopedagogue and together with Punt vzw I study trauma-oriented yoga. The combination of movement and people fascinates me. I have a love for dance, music and movement. I used to work for the CAW, with young people who were homeless. That was a nice period, with nice colleagues. I think life is beautiful because you can relive it every time, and it takes on a different layer each time. People also make me happy and I also like being a human being. Yet it is also difficult. We have made it very hard on ourselves. But there is endless much to discover. What I like to do most is reading, doing photography, doing yoga, cooking and eating, of course. I hope to one day find the love of my life and love myself. Now I’m especially looking forward to the move, to that new house with that large garden and lots of trees.” (pvda)
