The organization of the Lovers & Friends Festival in the American city of Las Vegas has canceled the festival that was supposed to take place on Saturday. This was done on the advice of the National Weather Service, because wind gusts of possibly 100 kilometers per hour are expected.

The festival would feature performances by Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg and TLC, among others. The organization speaks of “an incredibly heartbreaking decision”. According to the organization, people from all over the world traveled to Las Vegas especially for the festival. “We worked hard to create a great event for you, and we are just as disappointed as you are.”

People who purchased their tickets through the official points of sale will receive their money back within thirty days, the organization reports. The festival’s website shows that a regular entrance ticket cost 325 euros. You had to pay $695 for a VIP ticket. Visitors could use an air-conditioned toilet for this purpose.
