Traffic infoIt is exceptionally busy on the Flemish highways on this Friday evening. Before 5 p.m. there was already a traffic jam of more than 220 kilometers, currently it is still about 90 kilometers. In some places you lose more than half an hour, but the high number of traffic jam kilometers is mainly due to much smaller traffic jams, spread throughout Flanders. Below you will find an overview of the nuisance.

On the Brussels In the inner ring you lose 40 minutes between Sint-Stevens-Woluwe and Leonard. Just before that on the route you also lose 25 minutes between Expo and Diegem and 10 minutes between Diegem and Sint-Stevens-Woluwe.

The traffic jams on the Outer Ring are spread over almost the entire route. You lose 15 minutes between Grimbergen and Jette, just like between Neerpede and Beersel. You also lose an extra 10 minutes each time between Sint-Stevens-Woluwe and Diegem, between Ruisbroek and Halle and between Diegem and Machelen.

In Antwerp there is also nuisance on the ring road. Due to a defective vehicle, there is a half-hour traffic jam between the Kennedy tunnel and Deurne in the Netherlands. To Ghent it is 15 minutes slower from Berchem to the Kennedy tunnel.

To the big cities

In the direction of Antwerp, slow down on the E313 from Ranst to Antwerp East. You lose about 15 minutes, about as much as between Herentals-Oost and Herentals-West. There is also a 15-minute traffic jam on the E34 from Oelegem to Ranst. It is also 15 minutes slower between Melsele and Sint-Anna-Linkeroever and 10 minutes slower between Eeklo and Kaprijke. on the E17 you lose 15 minutes from Haasdonk to Zwijndrecht and another 10 minutes from Zwijndrecht to Antwerp-West. On the A12 it is 10 minutes slower between Wilrijk and Antwerp South, just like between Aartselaar and Wilrijk. And also on the E19 you lose 15 minutes towards Antwerp from Kontich.

On the E19 to Brussels it is a 10-minute drive from Vilvoorde to Machelen. On the E40 to the capital it is 10 minutes slower between Bertem and Sint-Stevens-Woluwe.

France and the Netherlands

There is still a traffic jam on the E40, towards Ghent between Ternat and Erpe-Mere (15 minutes) and between Sint-Denijs-Westrem and Merelbeke (10 minutes). Finally, on the E17 it is 10 minutes slower to France between Kortrijk-Oost and Aalbeke.
