CELEBRITIESVictoria Beckham’s (50) new fashion line, in collaboration with Mango, is now available in stores. Since launching her own brand in 2008, her luxury garments have often been unaffordable for many. But that is now a thing of the past. This time, however, people with a size larger than 44 are left out.

Victoria Beckham’s designs are finally hitting the high street thanks to a collaboration with Spanish company Mango. You can buy the chic pieces for as little as $50. “I wanted to appeal to a broader audience, but keep my aesthetic and DNA,” Posh himself said. “There is brutality in the new line, but it is also very neat and sensual.” Prices for the 46-piece collection can range up to $300 and include silk shirts, custom suits and statement jewelry. Some fashionistas are already enthusiastic about the boxy blazer and sexy train dresses.

“I am very proud of what we have created together. It feels good to bring the two brands together. I feel like we share the same aesthetic values around femininity, quality and love for the products,” says Victoria. But there seems to be a catch: the sizes of the clothes. Critics have noted that the largest items are size 14 and some are only available up to size 12, while Mango does offer larger sizes in other collections.

“I’m so disappointed”

A style influencer expressed her disappointment online. She wrote: “I tried on the only three pieces that had stretch because I wanted to see how they fit. The dress and skirt were my favorites, but unfortunately ‘fatties’ are not welcome at Vic and Mango.” This was followed by more responses from people with the same opinion. “I feel left out and like I’m not good enough. So disappointed. You exclude so many potential customers. A real shame.”

The two brands have taken the negative messages and responded that the feedback is being heard. “We take this opportunity to inform you that we are working to add a wider range of sizes in our next collections.”
