45 days from the elections, Vlaams Belang is and remains the largest party in Flanders. This is evident from the poll by the French-language newspaper La Libre.
With 26 percent, Tom Van Grieken’s party is 7.4 percentage points better than the 2019 elections. N-VA is hardly catching up and remains second at 20.9 percent. That is over 4.6 percent worse off than in 2019. And then the big surprise: PVDA achieves La Libre 12.2 percent. This makes Raoul Hedebouw’s party the third party in Flanders. A jump of 6.6 percent. The two extreme parties are both on stage.
CD&V is at 11.6 percent (-2.6), Vooruit is again close to the election result with 11.5 percent (+0.7). Open VLD is again just above 10 percent (-3.1). For Green, the electoral threshold is now dangerously close. They remain stuck at 6.6 percent (-3.8).
In Wallonia, PS remains the largest with 25.4 percent (-0.7). MR stands at 20.8 percent (+0.3), PVDA at 16 percent (+2.2). Les Engagés are at 13.9 percent (+3.2), Ecolo at 12.7 (-2.2) and Défi lags behind with 4.2 percent (+0.1).
In Brussels, MR is at the top with 22.9 percent, followed by Ecolo (15.5 percent) and PS (14.2 percent). (agy)
