Musical rehearsals 14-18 start with surprise: Bert Verbeke will succeed Niels Destadsbader after the summer

Rehearsals for the Studio 100 musical 14-18 have started in full swing. This time none other than Niels Destadsbader takes on the role of Albert. But he will transfer that role again after the summer to Bert Verbeke, who also played the role in the previous edition of the musical.

There is an exuberant atmosphere in the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theater in Puurs, where rehearsals have started for the spectacle musical 14-18. Niels Destadsbader proves to be the mood maker and he clearly already has a good bond with his co-stars Jelle Cleymans and Jonas Van Geel. “We are the guides and spiritual leaders of Niels,” joke Jonas and Jelle, because they also played in the original 14-18.

Anyone who wants to see Niels in the role of Albert should hurry, because after the summer he will be replaced by Bert Verbeke. This reunites him with his good friends Jonas and Jelle, because Bert was also there in the first version. “I am very happy that I can play this role again after ten years. When I see how well Niels is doing in his West Flemish dialect, it inspires me. But I will continue to play in Ghent, Bert reveals.
