In 2023, Fiber ready has opened up all the sidewalks here for fiber… I will switch at some point, but it has turned out that my wait-and-see character trait has paid off for me here.

Those in our neighborhood and the adjacent streets who have already switched to one of the providers (including Proximus) via Fiber ready are having problems: slow, unstable, breakdowns…
So fiber ready has been working here for weeks now to open everything up again because “there is a problem somewhere” but they cannot pinpoint where it is!

It sucks for the neighbors who have dutifully sown grass again (our neighborhood is one with a municipally mandatory green quota) on their piece… which is now being dug up again… perhaps they can reclaim their costs, but still: hassle. ..

For now Telenet with 400mbps… more than enough for what I need and stable… I’ll try Fiber in a few years.
