New images have emerged of the escaped horses that caused chaos in central London on Wednesday. It shows how one of the animals runs into a row of e-bikes and falls. Two out of five horses are in serious condition.

The British capital was in commotion on Wednesday morning due to five stray horses from the Household Cavalry, part of the British army. The animals were startled by the sound of a load of cement falling to the ground at a construction site. They threw off their horsemen and ran away. At least five people were injured. The horses walked almost 10 kilometers through the capital. It was only two hours after they had started running that they could be captured again.
Many images of stray animals are circulating on social media. A new video shows how a white horse runs into a row of e-bikes and then falls.
Two seriously injured
The white horse, called Vida, is one of two animals that are in worse condition. It is the horse that runs through the streets covered in blood in the images. Another horse, Quaker, was seriously injured after colliding with a taxi. The two animals underwent surgery.
“They are in serious condition, but I heard they are still alive,” Defense Secretary James Cartlidge said on Thursday. “We will of course continue to monitor their condition.”

“We hope that both horses recover. We do not yet know whether they will recover enough to resume their official duties,” said an army spokesperson. “In any case, the horses received the best treatment. If they had not joined the army, I don’t know if the animals would have made it,” he said.
