During the broadcast of Today Inside, Johan Derksen made a painful slip. The studio audience then bursts into laughter.
On Thursday evening, the current situation in America was discussed in the show with Derksen, Wilfred Genee, René van der Gijp and guest Olcay Gulsen, with former president Donald Trump being involved in several lawsuits. In one of the lawsuits, Trump faces porn star Stormy Daniels. “I think that is a private matter,” says Derksen. “Yes, he cheated on taxes, but what that man does in private…”
The Talpa star then wants to strengthen his argument with an example, but that goes a bit wrong. “Look, Rutte is putting a cigar in the secretary’s hat.” After a moment of silence, the audience in the hall notices what Derksen has just written, after which they burst out laughing. Derksen then corrects his own mistake. “Or no, Bill Clinton. Not Rutte! That was really a slip of the tongue,” the former football player laughs. Genee goes one step further: “You can’t rule it out. Well, this is going to cause a lot of hassle again.”
