For 23 million euros you can organize a megalomaniac wedding party. A millionaire couple in the French Côte d’Azur proved this. With a surprise guest performance by Mariah Carey. It is not clear how much the singer asked for her appearance.

There was a lot of partying at Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc’s last weekend. CEO Umar Kamani (36) married his bride Nada (31) there. Kamani and his family are the founders of the international clothing brand Pretty little thing, which is worth billions. The couple is extremely wealthy, so not a single cent was spared. Even superstar Mariah Carey was flown in to sing her biggest hits in a dazzling partially transparent dress from Dior. Among other Be my baby, Fantasy, Hero and We belong together were heard. After a fancy dinner, the guests were taken to the garden where Mariah suddenly appeared. During the wedding ceremony, those present were surprised by Andrea Bocelli, who provided musical accompaniment to the service. The guests also included famous names such as former British footballer Rio Ferdinand and model Naomi Campbell.

It was only logical that the couple would go all out for their wedding. When Umar proposed in 2021, he rented the entire Opera House in Monte Carlo and had 10,000 white roses delivered. A chamber orchestra was present at the proposal.

Mariah Carey already had experience performing at rich people’s weddings. In 2017, she earned more than four million euros for her show at the wedding of Russian billionaire and businessman Valery Kogan. She then had to share the stage with Elton John.
