Tonight the cracker is on the program between neighbors Union and Anderlecht. Blessin’s team may actually be able to take the lead again if Club Brugge makes a mistake at the Bosuil earlier today. Strongman Cameron Puertas came up with a very surprising revelation.
Absolute star of POs
The absolute star of the POs? That’s definitely Cameron Puertas. The Spanish Swiss already has six (nice) goals and one assist.
Just like for the rest of Union, the start of this play-off was a lot less for the midfielder. Blessin’s team started dramatically, losing four times in a row, but was later helped by Puertas.
The midfielder’s story reads like a novel. Last year, Puertas hardly got any chances from Geraerts, partly because the Brussels club did excellently and had a similar type in Teuma who also excelled.
Criminal record and EC deception
But Puertas remained patient and got his full chance from Blessin this season. A successful move, there is a good chance that the player will leave Dudenpark after this season.
At the Newspaper the Union player now came with a surprising revelation, after all, Puertas appears to have… a criminal record. “I temporarily lost my driver’s license in 2017. One day I decided to do some tours with my scooter and was convinced that my driver’s license was valid again. Only, I was wrong by a day. During a check at 11:45 p.m. Fifteen minutes later there would have been no problem. I now have until 2025 or even 2027 and can’t even be called up for Switzerland. That will come to a head when the European Championship comes around.” Thus a remarkably honest Puertas.
