On Wednesday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded four years in prison against two Dutch people who are being prosecuted for an attack in the Antwerp district of Wilrijk. One of them shot at a house, while the other had to film everything.
On April 3, 2022, around 4:40 am, a shot was fired at the front door of a house on Boomsesteenweg. “The D. family is known for drug trafficking and was already the target of an arson a week earlier,” the prosecutor said. The firearm used was dumped by the shooter and was later found by children playing.

Telephone investigation, ANPR camera images and DNA research led to two Dutch people. Luciano H. confessed that he was recruited to shoot at the house. He refused to give the name of his client. He said he was threatened and denied receiving any money.
“The defendant is known for eighteen property crimes, in which violence was sometimes used. So he does not seem to me to be the type who is easily impressed by threats,” the prosecutor said. Luciano H. was in custody for more than a year. His lawyer argued for a lenient sentence.
Yahrizio V. stated that Luciano H. had asked him along without saying what they were going to do. He just said it was something fun and that he had to film it. Only when H. fired the shot did he realize what he had gotten himself involved in. His lawyer argued for the acquittal.
The resident of the building that was shot at has filed a civil suit and is demanding 6,073 euros in material and 7,500 euros in moral damages on behalf of his family. He denied having anything to do with drugs. “I wonder where the prosecutor gets that from. More than twenty years ago I worked as a doorman in the nightlife. I have been convicted in that context, but never for drugs.” Verdict on May 8.
