Top chef Nick Bril is stepping down after five years as culinary manager at August, the restaurant of the design hotel of the same name in Antwerp. He announced this himself on social media. “I am confident that under the leadership of the talented team, the hotel will only go from strength to strength and reach new heights,” said Bril.

“After a fruitful period of collaboration and growth, we now part ways, and today we announce the end of our collaboration. It was an honor for me to be part of this unique journey, in which we together deepened the culinary identity and guest experience at August,” the top chef writes on his social media.

According to Bril, August must now continue to take shape without his vision. “I hope to have made a valuable contribution to August’s DNA. I am confident that under the leadership of the talented team, the hotel will only go from strength to strength and reach new heights. I cherish the wonderful moments we shared. My sincere thanks go to August’s team, and in particular to Mouche, Laurent, my right hand Pieter, Mathilde and Hanne. Your commitment, dedication and friendship made this trip extraordinary.”
