The Red Devils will take on England on Tuesday evening. Domenico Tedesco took some time to talk to the press the day before.

Belgium takes on England without a number of strong holders. National coach Domenico Tedesco came with a few injury updates and had good and bad news.

Romelu Lukaku did not play against Ireland. He was injured and no risks were going to be taken with him. Tedesco could confirm on Monday that he will play against England, probably in the starting line-up.

“Romelu is ready to play. He has trained with the team in the last two days. Will he start in the starting line-up? We’ll see, but probably yes,” said the national coach.

Tedesco was still able to come with good news. “Arthur Theate is 100% fit, he is ready for tomorrow. He also trained well with the group for two days. We have taken good care of him, just like Orel Mangala.”

Koen Casteels still out

But not everything goes according to plan. “Koen Casteels is out for the match,” said Tedesco. “He hasn’t been able to train, there are still problems with his shoulder. We don’t want to take any risks with him.”

Matz Sels will be between the posts again against England. Everyone assumed that Casteels would become the permanent number one for the Devils, but now that he is also missing these friendlies, Sels is getting more and more opportunities to prove himself.
