Arian ran away from his parents’ home in Elm on Monday evening. Security footage shows him running into a nearby forest. Various strategies have been tried to track down the boy.

Last night, a silent search was held after advice from an expert. Arian is autistic and does not respond when spoken to. The two hundred soldiers went in small groups to look for the boy with night vision goggles. “Unfortunately, the night did not make any progress,” police reported the next morning.

Previous attempts didn’t help either. For example, fireworks were set off in the hope that Arian would come and watch because he likes it. In addition, sweets and balloons were also hung on the trees around his parental home. Hundreds of volunteers searched the area for days, the armed forces sent 450 soldiers.

Today the search continues around the Oste river. Police divers had also investigated there earlier this week. Drones and a helicopter were then deployed, and a fighter plane even took aerial photos with a thermal imaging camera.
