La Louvière and Lokeren-Temse have received their license to participate in the Challenger Pro League next season. Both teams, champions and vice-champions respectively in the first national event, have now officially obtained their professional license.

It has been certain for some time that champion RAAL La Louvière and vice-champion KSC Lokeren-Temse would be promoted, but now they have also secured the necessary license.

“After months of dedication, we received good news today about our professional license. Our club would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success. Promotion to the Challenger Pro League is now guaranteed!” Lokeren-Temse tweeted.

After the bankruptcy of Sporting Lokeren in 2020, the club joined forces with amateur team Temse and started playing in second amateur as Lokeren-Temse.

RAAL La Louvière was founded in the 2017-2018 season after the takeover of number 94, previously associated with Couillet. The name ‘RAAL’ refers to the former first division club Royale Association Athlétique Louviéroise.

Nicolas Frutos is technical director at La Louvière. He put together the core that swept through the first national. A nice addition to his resume.
