Thanasis Staessens from the security business Taki and Max Janssens from Patisserie Manus are the highest bidders for the two bottles of exclusive gin from Golden Shoe Toby Alderweireld. Together they raised 700 euros for charity.
The initiative came from Cheese Master Lourdon and Toby Alderweireld. The first bottle with number 1989 went to Thanasis Staessens of Taki, the security business. The number of the bottle refers to the year of birth of the footballer from Kapellen. Employee Ken Boniver came to pick up the bottle and had his picture taken with Alderweireld, Anja Faes, Max Janssens and Yves Bisschops. The bottle with number 2000, postal code of the city of Antwerp, went to Max Janssens from Patisserie Manus.
“We chose Villa Max as a charity. Villa Max is a particularly valuable organization that arranges holidays for families with a disabled child,” says Anja Faes of Cheese Master Lourdon.
Toby Alderwerield has been the godfather of Villa Max for some time. “700 euros is a nice amount and I am very happy that I can donate it to Yves Bisschops, coordinator of Villa Max.” (jbr)
