IN PICTURE. Gers Pardoelen and new love Lie make red carpet debut at the premiere of ‘Back to Black’

LtdOn Tuesday evening, the premiere of ‘Back to Black’, the biopic about the life of the late singer Amy Winehouse, took place in De Roma in Antwerp. It was a double premiere for Gers Pardoelen and his new love Lie: they made their debut on the red carpet as a couple.

At the end of March it was announced that the Dutch singer had found love again. Gers has been in love with model, influencer and reality figure Lie Meurs for some time now, also Fabrizio’s ex. At the time, the two showed that they were in a relationship with a photo on Instagram. Both Gers and Lie shared a photo from the French ski resort Val Thorens. “He is not taking me to Rome or Paris, but to the French Alps,” said the Flemish model’s Instagram account. The 42-year-old singer shared a similar message with “I’ll take you to the French Alps”.

Red carpet debut

The fact that the two are officially a couple will eventually be announced in early April. In an interview with ‘Het Laatste Nieuws’, Gers openly talked about his feelings for Lie. “I saw her photos on Instagram and I just messaged her. We met up and talked for hours. That first conversation was very special,” he said. “The click between us was enormous. I got so much inspiration from her that I immediately started writing music when I got home.”

Gers and Lie have now officially made their red carpet debut at the premiere of ‘Back to Black’, the biopic about the rather turbulent life of Amy Winehouse. In the film we follow the life and musical career of the singer, who died in 2011. The Dutch singer and his new love were not the only famous faces at the film premiere. Candice and Nick from ‘Blind Married’, Hooverphonic, Nicolas and Keano Liebart, Vincent Fierens and Emma Salden and Miss Belgium Kenza Ameloot were also present.
