A few years ago, Natalia had a number of eggs frozen, which she has now donated. The 43-year-old singer said this on Radio 2 on Wednesday.
“A few years ago I had fifteen eggs frozen,” Natalia answered when asked what good deed she had ever done. “On the advice of a friend, in case I couldn’t find a partner but still wanted children.” That ultimately turned out not to be necessary: Natalia met her current partner in 2018, and the couple now has two children.
That is why Natalia decided to donate the frozen eggs to someone who cannot have children. “I thought for a long time about what to do with those eggs, but in the end donating them was the best act of my life.” Although there is little chance that we will see a descendant of Natalia on a Belgian stage in a few years. “I have clearly stated in the contract that no Belgians may be included. I said I don’t need to know where they are or who they are.”
