Moroccan car sales experienced a slight decline in the first four months of 2024 compared to last year. According to figures from the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), 48,948 new vehicles were registered, a decrease of 0.71% compared to the same period in 2023.
The decline is due to a 3.08% decline in passenger car sales, with 43,647 units registered. In contrast, sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 24.29% to 5,301 units.

Dacia remains the most popular brand in the passenger car market with a 27.5% share and 12,004 vehicles sold. Renault follows with 6333 units sold (14.51% market share) and Hyundai is in third place with 3629 vehicles and 8.31% market share.
In the light commercial vehicle market, Renault is the undisputed leader with a 70.25% increase in sales, good for 1505 units and a market share of 28.39%. Ford follows with an increase of 101.38% and 729 units sold (13.75% market share).

Among the premium brands, Audi dominates with 1,440 units sold and a market share of 3.3%. BMW follows with 1,198 vehicles and a 2.74% market share, while Mercedes-Benz sold 976 units and has a market share of 2.24%. Porsche recorded a growth of 29.17% with 217 units sold, while Jaguar saw a decline of 2.63% in sales with 37 units sold.
