In the month of April, our market vendors were put in the spotlight. There was also a ‘Lennik Inspitreert’ campaign. The winners of the competition were drawn on Tuesday.
During the ‘Market Month’, visitors in Lennik and Gaasbeek received a voucher with their purchase, which could either be deposited in the competition box at the market or registered via a QR code in the free app ‘I buy locally’. ‘.
Under the motto ‘The more purchases, the more chance of profit!’, customers were encouraged to do their shopping at the markets, which gave them a nice boost.
To supplement the prize pool, the municipality of Lennik joined forces with the municipality of Pepingen. Pepingen itself does not have a weekly market, but has market stalls who are also at the Lennik markets.
No fewer than 521 vouchers were submitted at the weekly Tuesday market. The farmers market was good for 328 vouchers. In addition, 447 purchases were digitally registered in the ‘I buy locally’ app.
Lennik selected 20 winners from the completed vouchers who will receive a Lennik voucher of 25 euros. The municipality of Pepingen is also doing its part by increasing the number of winners to 30 who in turn will receive a Pepingen voucher worth 25 euros.
Savings card promotion with great prizes
On Saturday, April 27, another Taste Market took place during ‘Lennik Inspireert’. During the week of April 20 to 27, visitors collected stamps on their savings card with every purchase in a participating store. The submitted savings cards on which 3 different stamps were collected were eligible for the prize pool from which seven Lennik vouchers were raffled off.
On the one hand, full savings cards could be brought to participating merchants, which approximately 58 people did. The vast majority handed these in during the Taste Market itself. These 119 people not only had a chance to win the prize pool, but also received a nice gadget and a 2 euro discount on their purchases at the Smaakmarkt.
The main prize is one Lennik voucher of 500 euros, followed by a 2e voucher worth 250 euros, after which 5 more participants will receive a voucher of 50 euros.
