On Wednesday afternoon, April 17, CEO Hans Meeuwis was musically surprised with the news that Cosun is a finalist for the King Willem I Prize 2024, a prestigious business award in the Netherlands.

The prize is known as the ‘Oscar of Dutch business’ and is awarded biennially to companies that are not only successful, but also actively focus on creating a positive impact on people, the environment and society. It is recognition of our entrepreneurship, the major transition we are making as Cosun and our commitment to a future-proof sustainable chain.

This year the prize will be presented again by honorary chairman Her Majesty Queen Máxima and Prof. Dr. KHW Knot, president of De Nederlandsche Bank NV and chairman of the King Willem I Foundation. Previous winners include NXP, Philips, Friesland Campina and VDL.

The grand final will take place in Zwolle on May 16 and the winners will be announced. The other two finalists are Royal Koopmans and DKG Group.
