Pop up Europe brings Europe to the municipalities

The awards ceremony is always a nice ending to our Pop up Europe programme. The scratch card campaign is a very accessible campaign to bring the residents of a municipality into contact with the European Union. We reach many residents through the combination of various original activities. Our local authorities are crucial to build the bridge between “distant Europe” and the citizen. Because the EU has an impact on all of us and it is important to be aware of that. Especially in a year with European elections,” says representative for European cooperation Helsen.

Alderman Barbara Rommens adds: “The passage of Pop up Europe created a pleasant atmosphere in Dessel. The schools, participants of all ages and even municipal staff were completely immersed in the European theme. It generated nice reactions. The entire campaign gets 12 stars from us!”
