It has been quiet around the Resident Evil games for a while. The remake of part 4 is already a year old and since then we have been waiting for something new. There were recently some rumors that Resident Evil 9 had been postponed internally, but according to Dusk Golem that is nonsense. In fact, the game should be announced quite soon.

This insider’s latest rumor concerns Resident Evil 9, specifically the rumors that the game has been internally postponed. According to Dusk Golem, this is nonsense. The game has not been postponed. It should be announced soon and should be released next year, possibly in January.

When the game is released, the development team will have already been working on it for over 7 years. Furthermore, there are mainly a lot of rumors. For example, it would be a final game with Chris Redfield in the leading role, it would be an open world game and the team had a huge budget available for this title.
