In terms of sport, the former top twenty player is experiencing bad times. Most recently he was eliminated in the first round in Monte Carlo, crashed out in Bucharest and failed to survive the qualifications in Madrid. He even forfeited last week for the Aix-en-Provence tournament due to a blocked back. Goffin is currently in Rome where he was supposed to participate in the qualifications, but he also skipped those.

But now there is finally a reason to laugh. Wife Stéphanie announced that the couple is expecting their first child. She has been with Goffin for years and follows her husband at the competitions. It is from Rome that she posted a photo on Instagram with the vague caption ‘Rome with (a belly full of) love.’
The birth of their first child is expected in October.
