Jonas Vingegaard is cycling again: “I hope to make it to the start of the Tour”

Just 7 weeks before the start of the Tour de France, Jonas Vingegaard cycled outside again. “It remains to be seen whether I will make it to the Tour, but I will do everything I can,” says the defending champion after his heavy fall in the Tour of the Basque Country.

A month ago, Jonas Vingegaard fell heavily in the Tour of the Basque Country. The frail Dane fell to the ground in a descent.

Now Vingegaard comes with good news. In a video from his team, the Tour winner announces that he can cycle again.

“It’s nice to be able to cycle normally again. Outside for the first time,” Vingegaard says enthusiastically.

“It’s great that I can train on the road again. I’m already looking forward to the next steps in my rehabilitation.”
