A semi-final in Europe: that attracts good people. On Wednesday evening, 16 clubs will send their scouts to Jan Breydel, including representatives from FC Barcelona and AC Milan. Meanwhile, the match is refereed by a striking name.

The Jan Breydel Stadium will be packed for the second leg against Fiorentina: 27,000 fans are expected. But the scouts of a number of European (top) clubs will also follow the match with more than normal interest.
A total of 16 teams will send a delegation to the Jan Breydel Stadium. And there are nice people among them. For example, people from FC Barcelona, AC Milan and the newly crowned Dutch champions PSV drive to Bruges. West Ham, who will soon pass on the Conference League trophy, will also be represented. But Ajax and… Cercle Brugge also have a man in the stands.
Even more striking: the match is refereed by Halil Umut Meler, the Turkish referee who was punched in the face by the chairman of Ankaragucu at the end of last year.
