Giro 2024: VTM broadcasts six stages with commentary by Michel Wuyts and Jan Bakelants

Belgian cycling fans can also watch several stages of the Giro d’Italia on TV channel VTM. The largest commercial channel in Flanders has a sublicense that allows it to broadcast six stages. The commentary is by Michel Wuyts and former cyclist Jan Bakelants.

The broadcast rights of the Giro d’Italia in the Netherlands are exclusively held by Discovery, which broadcasts the images on the sports channel Eurosport. For Belgium, Discovery has granted a sublicense to VTM, which is therefore allowed to partially broadcast six stages. The channel has chosen the first four stages, the first individual time trial on May 10 and the last mountain stage of the Giro.

To watch the other mountain stages, Belgian cycling fans – or Dutch viewers who have VTM in their TV package – must tune in to Eurosport or the online channels of Eurosport.nl or Discovery+.
