Later today (8 p.m.) Zulte Waregem and Lommel will also play their first leg of the semi-finals in the Promotion Play-offs. Essevee was the big favorite for promotion to the Jupiler Pro League before the season, but still has to work hard after a disappointing regular season.

The two winners of the double confrontations will compete against each other in final matches on May 5 and 12. Whoever comes out on top will compete against the third-last ranked club in 1A on May 19 and 26 for a ticket at the highest level. That is currently RWDM.

Patro Eisden still has to wait for a positive answer from the licensing committee of the Belgian Football Association (KBVB). He did not grant the club a professional license on Monday in the first instance. It even spoke of a “quasi empty file”.
