Thursday will be rainy with more clear skies in the evening. There is a moderate to fairly strong wind and maximum temperatures are between 7 and 13 degrees, the RMI says. Friday will be a changeable day with clouds and showers. The Easter weekend will also start very cloudy, with showers and possibly thunder on Sunday.

A rain zone draws Thursday morning quite quickly across our country from France in the direction of the Netherlands. This will be followed by clear spells, but also some showers, which appear to be more numerous over the southeast. Towards the evening, clear spells tend to widen from the south-west. The maximum temperatures are between 7 and 10 degrees in Upper Belgium and between 11 and 13 degrees elsewhere. The moderate to fairly strong wind soon shifts to the southwest and later increases to quite strong or locally strong. The gusts are between 60 and 75 kilometers per hour, the RMI says.

Thursday evening the clear spells will become wider and it will be dry, except for a last shower in the southeast. Next night the clouds will increase rapidly and periods of rain will follow from France. The minimums are between 4 and 8 degrees. The wind initially blows quite strong to locally strong from the south-southwest, with peaks up to around 60 or temporarily even 70 kilometers per hour. Later in the night the wind decreases and becomes moderate.

Friday In the west it is rather changeable with clear spells, but also some showers. In the southeast there are more clouds and there are periods of rain or showers. In the evening and at night, rain from the southeast also moves over the rest of the country. The maximum temperatures are between 9 and 13 degrees in the areas south of Sambre and Meuse, and between 13 and 15 degrees in most other regions. The wind is blowing moderately to sometimes quite strong from south-southwest with gusts of up to 50 or 60 kilometers per hour.

Cloudy Easter weekend

Saturday morning it is heavily cloudy with periods of rain (especially in the west) and showers (especially in the east). In the afternoon it will be drier with sunny periods. But there is still a chance of some heavy showers, especially near our eastern border. The maximum temperatures are between 11 or 12 degrees in the coastal region and the high Ardennes and about 15 degrees in the Kempen. The wind is weak and variable at first, but later becomes moderate or quite strong from south to southwest.

Sunday it will be partly cloudy and mainly dry at first. Showers will develop here and there during the afternoon, possibly with thunder in the southeast. The maximum temperatures are between 12 and 16 degrees with a moderate wind from east to southeast.
