Many things in life are uncertain, but if it is up to Dutch influencer Yung Petsi, one thing is clear: Joost Klein will win the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. And so he has already had a tattoo of Klein’s blue jacket with the text ‘Eurovision winner 2024’ immortalized on his body. “It will require a cheese slicer if it ever has to be removed.”

If Peter Jonge, the real name of Dutch influencer Yung Petsi, has something on his mind, he has to do it. This is how the Brabander, who has more than 42,000 followers on Instagram, ended up on the rack of a tattoo artist earlier this week. What did he want on his body? Well, a tattoo that symbolizes Joost Klein’s win at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

And yes, Yung Petsi is well ahead of schedule, because the music spectacle only starts on Tuesday, May 7 in Malmö, Sweden. Joost Klein’s win is therefore not at all a certainty. In conversation with the Dutch Algemeen Dagblad, Yung Petsi dismisses the idea that the Europapasinger may not win away. “When I heard that Joost was going to the Eurovision Song Contest, I immediately thought: he was going to win. But when I heard the song, I was completely sure. The overall picture is just right, from the outfit, the clip to the heels in between.”

Petsi is so convinced of Joost Klein’s win that earlier this week he called a friend of his who is a tattoo artist. Together they went through what the design of the tattoo should be. It became the typical blue jacket that Joost Klein wears during his show. And of course the text ‘Eurovision winner 2024’ could not be missing.

Yung Petsi

Petsi, who has more joking tattoos, realizes all too well that it is a daring move. “But I’m really sure of my case. And Joost too, of course. And that’s why it had to be on my skin.” Laughing: “Everyone around me knows: if that guy has something up his sleeve, it will happen.”

‘Joost bought a sink from me’

Although Petsi, as he puts it, ‘does all sorts of things’, he is best known for his cobbled together videos on Instagram. He also works in the events industry. Do he and Joost Klein know each other? Yes, but not by the music world. “I once sold Joost a sink. I have no idea how he came to me, I think through the grapevine,” he chuckles.

Klein has now also seen the video in which the tattoo is made and shared it with his followers on Instagram. According to Petsi, Klein appreciated the action and found it ‘laughable’. Meanwhile, Yung Petsi is counting down until Klein can shine on stage in Malmö. “I often watched the Eurovision Song Contest anyway, but now with Joost it really stands out.”

And for those who doubt the authenticity of the picture: “There are now scabs on it, because it is healing. But you really need a cheese slicer if it ever has to be removed,” Petsi promises.
