Tupac Shakur’s brother not happy with Drake’s diss track to Kendrick Lamar

--

Drake got help from Tupac and Snoop Dogg on his latest diss track. At least, through Artificial Intelligence, Drake has had his verses rapped by these legends. Tupac’s brother has said that he thinks Drake has crossed the line.

Mopreme Shakur, Tupac’s brother, believes that Drake has used his brother’s voice as a weapon, he tells TMZ. He explains that a 1 on 1 rap battle must be fought without external help and compares using Tupac’s voice to deploying a tank or nuclear weapon. Mopreme, on the other hand, is aware that Kendrick is very inspired by Tupac and that Drake deliberately used the voice of the West Coast legend. Drake is also said to be very inspired by the use of Ai in music and therefore wanted to experiment with the possibilities. After all, Snoop and Pac’s verses on the diss track were written by Drake himself.

Fans defend Drizzy, pointing out that Kendrick used an interview of Tupac in the outro of his album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly.’ Mopreme does agree with this and considers it a tribute to the rapper. He adds that he naturally enjoys hearing his brother’s voice, just not in a rap battle.

Shakur says he has nothing but love for Kendrick, Drake and Cole. His message is that the rappers must ensure that the beef remains a sport and that it should not escalate to physical violence.
