During the weekend of May 4 and 5, the studio was in focus and we also visited Annemie Mignon at Waterschaapstraat 25 in Galmaarden. We were welcomed with a drink and a slice of cake, which made talking a lot easier afterwards. Annemie has been making ceramics for 10 years.

We let her speak for a moment: “In addition to making images, I am also an enthusiastic potter. I get the most pleasure from the images that arise purely intuitively. No plan, no preconceived result, so to speak, total freedom. Just obey the laws of equilibrium and balance, and my highly personal sense of aesthetics. It is a kind of meditative play between matter, light and space. Pure entertainment when the twisting, curving, circling contours manifest themselves,” Annemie concludes. You are still welcome on Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can find the complete list on the Atelier in Beeld website.
