A Dutch soldier was slightly injured during a parachute jump in Belgium. He collided with another paratrooper, after which they crashed together.

The accident happened at the military airport in Schaffen. Dutch marines held an exercise there on Thursday. They were dropped from an air force Hercules transport plane.

The parachutes of the two soldiers became entangled in the air, the Belgian Public Prosecution Service (OM) reports. Then the paratroopers crashed.

According to a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service, one of them was “almost uninjured”. The other suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. According to Defense, the marine is easily approachable.
