In week 17 of 2024, there will be newcomers in the top 5 best-selling games in Belgium. The sports game TopSpin 2K25 takes first place. Fans have had to wait 13 years for a new TopSpin tennis game and now the time has finally come. TopSpin 2K25 features many famous real tennis players and every few weeks a major update comes with new playable characters, stages, modes and more.
There is also a newcomer at number 2: the action game Stellar Blade. This game is exclusively available on the PlayStation 5 and is the first game from Korean developer Shift Up. Stellar Blade is a game where you take on the role of Eve who arrives on a post-apocalyptic Earth to stop the evil aliens once and for all.
At number 3 is Fallout 4, a game from 2015. That is not by chance, because the Fallout live action TV series on Amazon Prime Video is a great success that has created hype. Gamers who already own Fallout 4 have returned to the Wasteland, and new gamers have purchased Fallout 4 after watching the live action TV series. Bethesda recently rolled out a free next-gen update for Fallout 4 on the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series consoles. Players can now enjoy better graphics and performance on these consoles.
At number 4 is GTA V, a game that has been selling fantastically for 10 years. In fact, GTA V still outsells many brand new games from major studios. GTA V is now very close to the milestone of 200 million copies sold. No premium game comes close to the figures of GTA V. GTA 6 may also not be able to match the impressive figures of GTA V.
Finally at number 5 is GTA Online, the multiplayer mode of GTA V, so to speak, which can also be purchased separately in digital stores. Rockstar Games has been releasing content updates for GTA Online for 10 years with new quests, more to do in the open world, new cars, new weapons and much more.
