The renowned contemporary art fair Art Brussels is celebrating its fortieth anniversary until April 28. The Belgian KickCancer foundation, which is committed to children with cancer, will sell its own The KickCancer Collection there, just like last year.
The collection will consist of more than 250 original works of art in postcard format. Artists were free to choose the medium and material: from small paintings on canvas to photography and felt to ceramics. Visitors and collectors receive a list with the names of all participating artists, but the works are only signed on the back and remain anonymous until after the sale.
“We look forward to repeating last year’s heartwarming success,” says Delphine Heenen of KickCancer. “The KickCancer Collection was inundated during the vernissage by curious art lovers who wanted to support our mission to cure all children with cancer.”(amg)
