The ‘neighborhood party Buurt Mee’ will take place on and around the Sint-Andriesplaats this Sunday, April 28. Visitors are not only immersed in a cozy atmosphere, but also find inspiration to set something up in their street or neighborhood.

Workshops on crazy hairstyles, storytelling theatres, a games cargo bike, live action painting and various music groups. There is no shortage of enjoyable activities at Buurt Mee. The party zone runs from Costa to Sint-Andriesplaats to Lange Riddersstraat and the playground of the Musica school.

Visitors will also find information about greening and softening and enjoy food trucks, live music and cultural acts.

Not only

“During Buurt Mee we put the spotlight on the offers of Experience your Neighborhood and Buurt in Bloei,” says district councilor of Wijkwerking Femke Meeusen (Green). “Do you want a nice act at your neighbor’s drink? During Buurt Mee you will see a number of them in action. A circus workshop during your street party or play street? You can also see them at work. We are putting extra emphasis on our support.”

“Anyone who wants to organize something is not alone. With the help of the district and the neighborhood coaches (who work in every postal code, ed.), a lot is possible in the Antwerp district,” concludes Meeusen.
